The outgoing Chairman, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), Lagos Branch, Engr. Engr. Iwuagwu said that the insurance scheme will cover every member of the institute who are out of job, but spending a lot on medical care.

Addressing journalist on Friday 22nd of July, after the monthly meeting held in ISPON National office in Ikotun, Lagos, Iwuagwu said that part of his manifesto is to give ISPON the desired uplift as he will set up more outlets for Lagos State ISPON where people from far areas can be trained instead of coming down to Ikotun.
He revealed that the number of people who have been inducted during his tenure doubled all what have been put together six years before him.

Engr. Iwuagwu explained that he will maintain the existing MOU and widen the scope of the institute as members who have the flair for teaching will be given the privilege to deliver safety lecture in LASPOTECH and different companies to train people.
Briefing on the outcome of the meeting, the Vice Chairman of ISPON Lagos Branch, Mrs. Monica Nwosu said that a lot of issues were deliberated in the meeting which includes preparation for all state branch election and Safety Managers Forum which is coming up in 1st and 2nd of September 2016.
