A fire incident occurred in Lagos on Monday night after an articulated truck loaded with 16,000 litres of diesel burst into flames.
A Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Spokesman, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident.
He explained further that the vehicle was making its way to the inward toll gate when the incident occurred.
He, however, disclosed that no lives were lost.
Okunbor stated that after the fire was reported to their control room at exactly 7:40pm, it took the LASEMA Response Team eight minutes to swiftly respond to the fire.
He also stated that the affected truck which bore an unknown registration number was recovered from the fire.
While the cause of the fire is still unknown, the spokesman noted that the inferno was put under control by the response team.
