A petrol-laden trailer has exploded along MCC in Upper Iweka area of Onitsha, Anambra State, Safety Record can report.
According to reports reaching this newspaper, many cars have been burnt while human casualties remain unknown.
Videos of the incident currently making the rounds on social media show thick smoke billowing into the sky as vehicles are being consumed.
Residents can also be seen running helter-skelter away from the scene of the incident.

The Nation reported that the state Commissioner of Police, John Abang, is presently at the scene of the incident.
When Safety Record contacted the Director, Anambra State Fire Service, Engr. Martin Agbili on phone for comments, his phone number indicated that it was switched off.
Agbili is known to personally combat fire incidents despite being the director of the fire service.
Safety Record reported a similar incident involving a petrol-laden trailer spilling its content at Mile 2, Lagos on Tuesday. However, emergency services promptly swooped on the scene to prevent a fire outbreak.
