The immediate-past Director-General, Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC), Hon. Hakeem Dickson has joined the National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN).
The National President of NISCN, Mr. Cletus Akhigbe, made the announcement recently after Dickson was presented with his membership certificate at the council’s Ikoyi, Lagos head office.
Akhigbe described Dickson as a politician who has fallen in love with safety, adding that becoming a member would enable the ex-LSC give his best to the profession.
“In the same vein let me announce the official membership of Hon. Hakeem Dickson, immediate past DG of Lagos State Safety Commission into NISCN.
“(He is) a politician who has fallen in love with safety and has decided to join the family to give his best to this profession.
“We warmly welcome you great man,” Akhighe said while sharing photos of the membership certificate presentation.
Dickson quit his position at the Lagos State Safety Commission in August.
This newspaper recalls that immediate-past Lagos Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode appointed him as Director-General of LSC in October 2016 to replace Mr. Fouad Oki and swore him into office in June 2017 after confirmation by the state’s House of Assembly.
