The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) has called on farmers to take note of the recent “Red Flood Alert’’ released by the Nigerian Hydrological Service Agency (NHISA).

This call was made by the Managing Director of the corporation, Mrs. Folashade Joseph, on Monday in Abuja.

She said it was important that farmers who are being insured by the corporation are aware of the effects of the predicted heavy rainfall.

Joseph reiterated the NAIC’s resolve to continually insure farmers.

She, however, warned always farmers to comply strictly to the set agricultural practices as they were previously educated by the corporation on how to insure their projects.

The anticipated heavy rains is predicted to fall between August to October this year.
