Chinese authorities have reported 79 people hospitalized in east China’s Jiangxi Province due to a suspected case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred in a food manufacturing company in Jiangbei Village of Guixi City on Wednesday at about 10 a.m.
The company produces barbeque food products and has over 90 people in its employ.
The provincial department of emergency management says that eight of the patients hospitalized currently experience symptoms like dizziness and vomiting.
While investigations into the cause of the accident is still ongoing, the patients have been placed under observation.
