A tanker tumbled at Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday with four persons escaping death by inches.

The accident which happened at about 6.50 a.m saw the victims of the accident sustain burns to parts of their bodies.

The Ogun Sector Commandant of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Clement Oladele, said the victims were subsequently rushed to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention.

“The victims who had parts of their bodies burnt were rescued and taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention,’’ Oladele said.

Oladele blamed the accident on overspeeding and reckless driving.

He said that there was now unobstructed traffic as all relevant agencies had cleared the scene to avoid hold-ups.

The sector commandant used the opportunity to caution drivers to stop over speeding in order to avoid future occurrences.
