The Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps for Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States, Dr. Kayode Olagunju, has cautioned officers of the corps to endeavour to respond quickly to distress calls.

Olagunju said this in Sokoto on Tuesday at a drill exercise held for corps officials in the three states.

He said, “I call on all FRSC personnel to be dedicated to their duties as the management will ensure proper implementation of the reward and punishment policy of the corps.”

He revealed that collaboration was being put in place with major players to ensure the safety of lives on Nigerian roads.

The commander also called on motorists to shun over speeding, flouting traffic rules and other acts that could be detrimental to their safety.
