Thirty-two offenders have been convicted for various traffic offenders in Kano during the Easter period.
The convictions were handed down by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) mobile court in the state.
The FRSC’s Public Relations Officer in the state, Kabiru Daura revealed in a Thursday statement that 38 persons were indicted, of which six were found not guilty while 32 were found guilty of various traffic offences.
He added that 14 patrol vehicles, two ambulances, one truck and 853 personnel were made available for operations the Easter period.
He also disclosed that the FRSC embarked on public enlightenment campaign at religious centres and motor parks which he said was targeted at sensitising people on the significance of driving and being driven safely.
