The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has disclosed that 102 fatalities were recorded on Ogun state roads within the first quarter of 2019.
The Ogun State Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Clement Oladele, made this known to reporters on Tuesday, April 16.
He further disclosed that the death toll occurred in 177 road crashes, leaving 473 others injured.
Oladele advised road users to exercise caution and obey all traffic rules while on the road.
“This year’s records represent a 50 per cent increase in road crashes and a 12 per cent increase in traffic deaths over our records of first quarter of last year,” the sector commander disclosed.
