The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is set to deploy 1500 personnel to Ogun state to ensure safety on the roads during the Easter period.

The State Sector Commander, Mr. Clement Oladele, disclosed this to journalists at the FRSC State Headquarters in Abeokuta.

At the first quarter 2019 sectoral retreat of the command tagged “FRSC Intervention and Agreements: Implication and Preparedness”, the sector commander further said that 25 patrol vehicles and five life support ambulances will be made available for the patrol operation.

Oladele also said that the FRSC had reached an agreement with Julius Berger Plc to free up sections of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that were previously shut for construction during the season.

“Road construction zones accounted for most crashes recorded in the state with grave statistics as this, the avoidable loss of lives and properties is a huge cost to government and our society,” the commander said.
