Ogun ISPoN Chairman Tasks Residents on Safety, Inducts 20 New Members

The Chairman, Ogun State Branch of Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPoN), Mr Gbolahan Ogunmefun, has warned residents of the state and Nigerians in general to maintain a hygienic environment and avoid bush burning during the harmattan season.

Ogunmefun said this in an orientation and induction ceremony for some new graduates of the institute in the state capital, Abeokuta on November 19.

He advised the 20 graduating trainees of the institute to discharge their duties with dignity, honour and discretion.

The branch chairman urged the new members to be devoted to their jobs and not fail in their service to mankind to ensure the safety of everyone.

He said that the new members needed to constantly update their knowledge base to perform at their optimum.

The chairman urged the new members to attend meetings called by the institute, adding that they should equally participate in workshops and seminars in order to succeed as safety professionals.

The 20 newly-inducted members include engineers, occupational hygienists, environmentalists, medical and health practitioners, fire fighters and security professionals.
