- Launches Alebiosu’s Book, Safety and You.

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, (ISPON), Lagos State branch, as part of her safety awareness and advocacy have organised a free safety training to 250 staff of National Agency for Food and Drugs Abuse Commission( NAFDAC) as well as Rainiya Oil and Gas Company.
This was made known in a press statement issued by ISPON Lagos branch Public Relation Officer, Mr Julius Akpong after her first executive meeting for the year 2016, which took place on Friday 19th of February at the ISPON National Secretariat Conference hall, in Ikotun-Egbe Lagos.
The statement highlighted that the free training which was carried out last year was part of the institute’s safety awareness and advocacy drive to minimize hazard at workplace, and to encourage professional efficiency.
The statement also stated that the first meeting was conveyed to discuss plans for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for March and also to formally launch a Safety book published by one of the past presidents of the Institute and publisher of Safety Record Newspaper, Dr. Lateef Alebiosu, titled “Safety and You”.
The publisher and Author, Alhaji Alebiosu afterwards expressed his appreciation for the honour and opportunity given to him by the executives and explained that he is happy with the unity, progress and love existing among members. “ Years ago the Lagos branch was far behind every other branch of ISPON in Nigeria, but today I can boldly say ISPON Lagos branch have surpassed every other state branch in Nigeria and I thank God that am still around to witness that,” Alebiosu said.
The Lagos State branch Chairman, Engr. Timothy Iwuagwu, advised members and safety professionals to always take advantage of different platforms available to them to contribute to the development of the safety profession.
